Indianapolis Delta Gamma Alumnae
Founders Day 2012

The Indianapolis Alumanae of Delta Gamma welcomed over 200 alumnae and Alpha Tau collegians for Founders Day on March 24th at Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel.
After a delicious luncheon Founders Day chair welcomed guests and introduced our speaker Staige Hodges, Beta Theta, Duke University who is currently serving the Fraternity as Director of Rituals and Scholarship.
Awards presented to local alumnae by chapter president, Molly Cummings, included the Bronze Award for dedication and commitment to Rachelle Hinkle; the Pink Award to Brooke Lock for hard work and positive attitude; the Blue Award to Ashley Lopresto for support; the Stellar Award to Julie McKim for her years of dedication to the chapter; and the Young Alumnae Award to Sara Eutsler.
Molly presented a gift to Founders Day Chair Gina Farrar in appreciation of her efforts in planning and producing the event for Indianapolis alumnae and Alpha Tau chapter members.
Alpha Tau president, Katie Wachel, presented the following chapter awards:
Anna Boyd Ellington/Bronze award: Margo Oelerich
Eva Webb Dodd/Pink award: Brittany Dorsett
Mary Comfort Leonard/Blue award: Allie Forth
Outstanding Senior: Kim Winter
Helping Hannah: Jenn Truitt
The Cable Award of Delta Gamma was presented to three outstanding Indianapolis alumnae. The Cable Award recognizes alumnae for personal devotion and continued service to the Fraternity. It is reserved for the alumna who through her years of serving Delta Gamma, has evidenced unusual loyalty and devotion far beyond normal alumnae participation. These three women whose combined time of service to the Fraternity exceeds 53 years are each truly deserving of this award. The recipients were Katy Crichlow Cummings, Zeta Pi, IUPUI; Catherine Slisher Donaldson, Gamma Iota, DePauw University; and Dani Weatherford, Gamma Iota, DePauw University.

Congratulations to the following women celebrating significant anniversaries with Delta Gamma:

Thank You from Guatemala
“Thank you for the generous donation of reading glasses. I recently returned from a village team with the organization Faith in Practice. Our 40+ person team included six physicians as well as nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, translators, etc. Your donation combined with others I received allowed me to take over 200 pairs of glasses. They were a huge hit with the patients and interestingly enough when word got out that the team had eyeglasses everyone all of a sudden started having eye complaints! There were many happy patients. The team in total saw over 2100 patients in four days. The few glasses not used were left in the supply trunks for future teams to use. Thanks again for your generosity and the Guatemalan residents thank you."
